Attendance Centre Programs

  • Program Description

The Calgary John Howard Society, through a contract with Mount Royal College and in conjunction with Alberta Justice, facilitates Anger Management and Family Violence Prevention Programs at the Calgary Attendance Centre.

Target Population: Individuals who have committed or are at risk of offending where anger or family violence are a factor.

Goals:

  • Increased awareness and examination of behaviour and underlying issues
  • Alternative behaviours and attitudes that will reduce the incidence and likelihood of violence

30-hour programs are conducted in formats that include:

  • Weekends
  • Tuesday & Thursday evenings
  • Over 4 full days
  • Anger Management Program
  • Family Violence Prevention Program
