Caring For Families

  • Program Description

The Caring For Families project is supported by The Calgary John Howard Society, the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), The Elizabeth Fry Society, and Alberta Seventh Step Society

Family support is one of the most important factors to ensure successful reintegration of offenders as they return to the community.

The Caring for Families project will provide facilitated educational and peer support sessions, on-line and text resource materials, and a support network to help families learn more about the criminal justice and correctional systems. The project provides ongoing support to family members who wish to stay "connected" with, and remain supportive of loved ones involved in these systems and will offer resources that may help families cope during this experience.
