We have opportunities for adults in the community to volunteer, whether with our adult clients, with Calgary and area youth, or in a more general capacity. As we do not have a volunteer coordinator, the volunteer program is tended by a number of program and administrative staff, who develop and manage volunteer positions to encourage community involvement in the agency. Tutor – Adult Literacy Program

If you are looking for an opportunity to work directly with an individual who needs assistance with educational goals, this may be the position for you! While making a tremendous difference in client’s life, you will enjoy a flexible schedule as a Literacy Tutor. Additionally, we look for volunteers who have solid academic skills however we provide the training and materials necessary for you and your client to succeed.

Facilitator – Criminal Justice Education Program

Are you interested in criminal justice and youth education? Are you looking for an opportunity that will allow you to enhance your public speaking skills? Are you available during school hours once a week? The Criminal Justice Education Program has facilitation opportunities for volunteers to deliver interactive presentations to local Grade 6 students on the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). You provide your interest and enthusiasm, and we provide the training on the YCJA.
