The Crime Impact Program is designed to provide a restorative justice opportunity in a supportive environment for youth who are presently involved or at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system. The program also addresses cases that cannot proceed to mediation as well as providing thorough preparation when mediation is appropriate and proceeds. Youth participate in an interactive session to assist in the resolution of personal issues associated with the crime. Youth develop an understanding of the impact of their criminal behaviour on the victim and the community.
